These past few months have been busy. It would probably be right to assume that there is a lot of work to be done in the near future. Centennial Park, Blackbird Tattoo/Gallery, Belmont Church, and maybe even the Day of the Dead Festival at Cheekwood. With a little elbow grease and ingenuity Emperor is back from the dead. What I had predicted would be a gradual change implemented over the long haul, has whip-cracked into a bustling nest of creativity. As of Aug.15th, The Definitive Collection sect of Emperor will be booking appointments for the middle of september, and The DC’s various projects consume almost all of my free time. Regardless, I have made a promise to myself to move forward. Learning, expressing myself, and catering to the needs of the collective thru printing feels like learning to speak a new language.

Appeciate awareness as a form of expression.

I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said “fresh” and it had dice on the mirror, if anything i could say that this cab was rare then i thought ahh forget it “Yo holmes to Bel Air!” I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel Air……………………… ….this runs thru my head everytime I see/hear anything about the following: whistling, cabs, license plates, the word ‘fresh’, fuzzy dice, the word ‘holmes’ and anything having to do with a throne, king, kingdom, or prince!

GOD-FORSAKEN TELEVISION!
and I mean that in the kindest of ways! We are who we are. It is in our nature to want to do what feels good. Tv is a strange subject. I haven’t lived a day without at the very least seeing a monitor of some kind, some where for who knows what reason. But when talking about a monitor that can morph it’s contents to appeal to nearly any onlooker, all networks walk a fine line between actually offering entertainment, news, etc…and a propagandizing and restraining content. Repetition, not just ads, even programs, repeating, doing research group after research group trying to time everything just right and get to the money before the next guy. I have seen many networks fall and merge to the point where we are only allowed media from about 6-7 individual groups, but they all cater to multiple audience, so that leaves them forever mulling over the same safe concepts, not allowing much room for creativity or any new ideas or breakthroughs.
Anything that happens overseas has already travelled up 30 different skyscrapers, hundreds of offices, bosses, and presidents before being approved ….or not.
As for the internet, you have to be a very skilled navigator to find truly compatible media. Person to person isn’t very reliable either, it’s not like after you type in something like flood into twitter that there aren’t focus groups out there crunching numbers…if it isn’t obvious already the next ad on your facebook after you type in flood will inherently be from the home depot or a homeowners insurance company.
I, like most everyone, feel as if they were born wanting to be entertained. Selling, managing and funneling shouldn’t decide what and how we are entertained. We should keep it that way. I suggest a television that 100% user created and decided, uncensored and unrestricted. The extreme versions of all the old safe ideas we have come to get used to will suffocate under their own bloated weight. This would force new ideas, trends and a rich culture that not even the most cunning marketing shark could sink its teeth into!
Youtube is a scam. Google is not what you think it is. I think I hear the black chopper coming in overhead! HAAA!

There is a new project. It is looking VERY promising. Providing a much needed vehicle for a creation dear to me. Even more important in the list.
It is a chart of everything I do. Everything. There are lists of lists of lists, compiled together over time intended to increase the harmony and quality of life in general. Since doing so I have noticed patterns or synchronicity in daily life that have equated to a better sense of understanding, conservation, and emotional V.S. mechanical actions, and being able to investigate those actions to further develop these patterns of behavior. It sounds very robotic off top, but rest assured, not one able minded individual has EVER lived their life without regret. Hindsight can be quite unfortunate if you go about it this way. -G.

This winter has been off to a start the likes of which I haven’t felt in some time. The weather hasn’t been too bright and shiny which doesn’t necessarily give me the urge to hop up and get to work. Despite the lethargic environment, there were a few ideas that have been hurled into fruition within the past few weeks. I have given myself a week deadline for the first which is a 16″x24″ canvas and a matching custom mini-munny figure. There are a few older pieces from the Genesis show that still need homes ….christmas gifts?… probably! heh
I have a new series to work on, feel more energized than ever in the tattoo studio, and what, in the past, I would have deemed almost un-do-able amount of side work is presently starting to fill up this years schedule. I will say that one advantage to the 7 month lull in personal work is that I feel my tattoos are stronger than they’ve ever been.

Twenty-six letters. Their characteristics seem infinitely diverse. The alphabet, as I am familiar with,(…and I am NOT!) can be broken down to a some-what formal unit of measurement that we use at first to interpret territorial squalor. This has evolved into unique, multi-cultural identities with those ever-so similar numbers and characters. It’s wide variety of uses and universal applications, make communication easier on many different levels. It would seem with Twenty-Six basic characters by now, that practically every word has been spoken. hehh!
When viewed as a symbol, initial, abbreviation or even just a noise; even a lone letter can be used to represent any object, action, event; past, present, and future or level of awareness or emotion.

There are many uses for symbols. Until the completion of this sentence, not a word above has contained the letter G. This silent protest. An example of what is always there, not being there and no one noticing. I had over time, stopped being curious. Then complacency set in, and a certain bitterness arose within me. While up to this very moment slapping and startling myself back into step with my environment, I have found quite a few symbols perpetually resurfacing within my path. Ironically I chose the letter G by it’s lonesome to represent my work artistically prior to the realization of how important and relative this symbol really is. It was hidden in plain view, but scratched off on a lottery ticket of relative artistic identification. A farce. Nonetheless, walking on a bed of diamonds could feel like gravel until you open your eyes. Re-evaluating my environment; makes for some interesting finds within the seemingly mundane. Rejoice in the re-evaluation of the ordinary; for it holds the essence of your simple harmony! Get Comfortable! with a capital G!

…for those who are close to me I must apologize for the rampant spewing of words. I don’t get out as much as I used to but can’t seem to get it all worked out in my head alone. I am not attempting to preach the gospel of the unseen; although, it feels like it more and more. It seems like I am just making an attempt to justify my path and not feel as crazy and alone. From Tupac to the Illuminati, Krishna to Jesus, Global History to the New Order. Understanding the futility of this information gathering helps to better uncover the true path to enlightenment, illumination, salvation, freedom, or whatever. No matter what the outcome (for lack of better words) or how much overwhelming physical evidence precedes these results, a unified wavelength/vibration resonates within all things useful. It cuts the crap. You can feel. And once you feel it. superficiality disintegrates. If only for a moment, time ceases to function in a human/linear fashion. It never seemed like that big of a deal but I feel SOOO overwhelmed by this experience. I am not sure what the difference is this time. It’s not like this is the first time that I have sought information. Though this time there wasn’t any self-serving conviction motivating me to educate myself. It is hard to admit that, but it seems to helps validate my concern. I mean no burden and seek the ultimate truth and light. There are similarities between lands and it’s inhabitants, but the oceans are vast and their inhabitants just as diverse. Never could I count all the fishes, or men. or dust, or drops in the ocean. As a deity excisting in a human body my limits are written on my flesh. And I have accepted this. Again I thank my friends for the reflection and peace be with all

spacial harmony

I used to use acid pro. making hip-hop beats and such. I would sit there for literally 10-15 hrs at a time looping and looping; changing time, bpm, etc… One thing that I can recall from that portion of my life is that with very few pieces you can create an infinite results. Spacial harmony. Relativism. Music. It is all the same. Until you come to the ego-driven realization that you can create anything. Because it is part of human nature you seek adoration and respect. You see a weaker energy. Then because you have told yourself you are a “superior being” you devour it, justifying this action by telling your ego that you are only transforming it to better harmonize with your environment. It’s energy is yours. you are it and you. You plus energy. Now what? Because you are the strongest being your ego decides to hold on to the energy as a way to continue moving, consuming and all without reallocating the consumed energy. until your vessel cannot store or navigate further. critical mass. redistribution if you will, back from whence it came. spacial harmony. it seems that no matter what the relation of any variable to another may be defined as, that variable can then be redistributed or transmutated as the law states. positive harmony is only what a ego or set of egos have defined it as. As well as negative. It is only, and will only ever be energy. Everything is everything and the spaces between is what tempts us to feel like we exist individually.

Posted to Deviantart.com are some of paintings and photographs that are available for overpriced prints via their fully (HA!!) customizable website! Every little bit helps I guess. They do pay the most meager of wages for the usage of the artwork but I am giving it a 3 month basis to see whats up. So far so good.
