(….it’s like watching a television show and waiting for the commercials!…you know its coming….there is this whole percussive story going on and you can’t stop bobbing your fucking head for two seconds to REKONIZE!)

G- Stop saying shit is played out two weeks after it makes it’s way to the fuckin states!(…or worse, if it’s music from the U.S. it most likely won’t receive acknowledgment at all!!)

G- Don’t complain about the DJ’s(..like it’s their fault that when they go out of their way, month after month, to BUY the dopest records while you, with your fluorescent yellow skinnies and vents, hat cocked sideways, scarf with a tshirt sit on your ass and text across the club about how lame the set is…. It is the same now as it is when Jungle was in its prime……except the pants are ALOT tighter! BUT I DIGRESS,

G- it’s that type of CULTURAL LIP SERVICE that is destroying the appeal that initially drew you in. It takes more than whats on the surface(the artists,DJ’s,venues,etc) to make that scene work!

G- I am, ashamed to say, a victim of this thinking. We must not let that engulf us. We think things end because we say they do before they actually have. Therefore, they have. Let’s hang on to our music, or it might not be about what WE think for too much longer……

Marvel VS Capcom 3, oh how I have waited for thee…..now you have arrived, and I can’t seem to get anything else done in my life. HA! Super Street Fighter 4 did me in for months but this is a horse of a different color! If there is one root to all of my sci-fi/comic/game it is the 2d arcade Versus franchise…Whether it Capcom, Snk, Tatsunoku or X-Men I have been smashing quarters into these particular arcade machines since X-Men:Children of the Atom!!!

BBC says cannabis could trigger schizophrenia……this got me thinking……(for once) They spoke as if cannabis, exclusively from religious pressure, family problems, death and any other traumatic or OVERLY-STIMULATING event, wouldn’t trigger psychosis!!! This is still exceptionally demonized seperate from other ‘triggers’ even though schizophrenia has been around forever, and not all people suffering from this debilitating disease have used drugs…..or cannabis for that matter! I guess what the powers that be are saying is: because cannabis could unfortunately…..MAYBE trigger schizophrenia in a slim minority of people, we should allow hundreds of thousands of cancer patients around the world suffer painfully knowing all the while they could be receiving help!!¡!!¡!!¡!! I don’t have to start comparing numbers…most Americans are aware of how widespread the devastation from cancer is……. ¡Priorities!

The scope of creativity captured within the genre is stunning and continues to grow. Basically concisting of refining found objects to look as if they were from a different time, place, planet, etc.. As with most hobbies, they require a certain level of dedication….. I am guessing that’s why they are dressed like that outside comicon!…… But to their credit, some of the most original (re)creations come out of this sub sect of cosplay…ehmmm crafting.
It has been around for a while, which get to my point: Why has SteamPunk recently become so popular? I am guessing the Internet is partly responsible for connecting people and further refining the genre, but it seems to exist outside of it’s parent franchise/influences…. If you are involved or know someone who is, let me know if there is something I am missing here….

i have never had to think along the lines of consumerism when it comes to my own personal work. I will admit it is a bit intimidating at first but once you see what people want it isn’t hard to make a new distinction or draw a line in the sand as far as what you are willing to do as an artist to sell, meanwhile maintain your integrity.

We should (cross your fingers) be moving into a new building within the next few months. I am very excited to see how this will all pan out. The Definitive Collection has a plan and helping Emperor is a BIG part of that. This will be an amazing establishment and more of an experience than just a tattoo shop or small boutique…
